Qualmark: To gain our Qualmark rating Baycrest Lodge undergoes onsite assessments using criteria made up of over 400 quality checks. The assessment criteria, which have been developed with the tourism industry and based on research into what travelers want, looks at areas such as cleanliness, safety, facilities, customer service, business operations and more. As a result of the onsite assessment dated 25/01/11 Baycrest Lodge is a 5 Star Self Contained & Serviced Category.
Pro-Tek Systems NZ Ltd and Baycrest Lodge: At Baycrest Lodge we take hygiene and sanitation very seriously. To demonstrate to our guests that we are committed to maintaining high standards, Baycrest Lodge is proud to announce that we have aligned ourselves with Pro-Tek. Pro-Tek allows us to provide our guests with services and procedures for best practice in the prevention, detection and control of insect infestations. Our certificate is an endorsement of our commitment to educate staff and the provision of excellent facilities that are certified to be cleaned to the highest possible standards.
The objective of this programme is to demonstrate to guests that Baycrest Lodge is:
- Committed to providing superior levels of sanitization of guest facilities
- Using environmentally friendly equipment and products where possible
Our certificate is proudly displayed. It is an asset and advertisement for our Taupo motel accommodation that differentiates our business from others in the same sector. It is an endorsement system to let our visitors know they are safe from bacteria, viruses and allergens.
HANZ: Current Members: The Hospitality Association is a voluntary trade association representing 2,350+ hospitality businesses. The association is committed to adding value to its members via individual membership service and by local and national advocacy. The Hospitality Association represents members on all issues impacting on their businesses including tourism, employment, sale and supply of liquor, accommodation, food and gaming.
MANZ: Current Members: The Motel Association of New Zealand is the national trade body for the New Zealand motel industry, with approx 1000 member properties throughout the length of the country. It is independent, with a Management Board of six members. The Association actively works towards enhancing the quality of the motel product, supporting the membership in all aspects of running a motel business and ensuring that the Government is kept fully aware of the national importance of the motel industry to commerce and to tourism in New Zealand. MANZ has been in existence for 36 years and is the largest grouping of motel apartment properties in New Zealand. MANZ as an association is an affiliate member of the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand.
