Reservations and Standard Cancellation Policy
All reservations are accepted in good faith. We reserve the right to re-consider the availability of current bookings should you reduce the length of your stay. Minimum night stays cannot be reduced. Cancellations made up to 2 days before the arrival date incur no charges. Cancellations after 9am, 2 days prior to checkin date will forfeit the full amount of the first nights accommodation charge. No Shows will forfeit the full amount of the first nights accommodation charge.
Example, check-in day is Saturday, cancellation free of charge anytime up to 9.00am Thursday, after 9.00am Thursday fees will apply.
Third Party Website Cancellations: We strongly urge that if you have booked through another website (WOTIF, Booking.Com, Expedia etc) that if you need to cancel your reservation that you do so directly with them. Some websites will incurr fees for changes/cancellations.
The best option to avoid any additional cancellation charges is to always book direct with Baycrest Lodge. Use the 'BOOK NOW'

While every effort is made to accommodate guests in the booked room type, Baycrest Lodge may have to amend room types. Requests are always subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed
Advance Purchase - Best Price / No Changes Cancellation Policy / Explore Card Policy
All reservations are accepted in good faith. Cancellations or changes to these bookings will not be permitted for any reason. Once paid and confirmed a booking cannot be refunded or altered in any way
Check In Check Out Times
For bookings made directly with Baycrest Lodge, is available from 12 noon on the day of arrival. Early arrivals may be possible if the booked room is available. Check-out time is by 10am on the day of departure.
Extra Person Charges
Please book for the appropriate number of guests staying. This allows us to have everything ready for you on arrival including having the correct bedding. We need to know for fire and safety reasons. We reserve the right to charge $50 per head, per night for any extra guests staying who haven’t been declared.
A late check-out may be available and are subject availability. The cost is $50.00inc GST per room and allows for a late departure time of 2.30pm
Offers & Discounts
From time to time special offers/discounts are advertised on our website. These are only available when you book and pay directly on our website and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or when you have booked through a third party website (for example WOTIF, BOOKING.COM, TRAVEL AGENTS etc)
Credit Card Payments / Guarantees
All online reservations made through the Baycrest Lodge website will have their full payment processed at the time of booking. Visa / Mastercard / Visa Debit are accepted for online bookings. A $4 online booking card security fee will apply per booking. ($4 non refundable if cancelled)
Non guaranteed bookings
Baycrest Lodge, Taupo may hold a cash/eftpos paying reservation until 5pm on the day of arrival. Should you be arriving at a later time you must confirm that arrival time. Rooms will be released after 5.00pm.
GST & Taxes
All prices quoted on our website, booking site and any correspondance will include Goods and Services Tax at 15%
Visitors are permitted at Taupo's Baycrest Lodge with management's discretion. This includes the use of Baycrest Lodge facilities. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. We ask that all visitors vacate the rooms by 10pm or if requested to do so at any time.
Any damage, including breakages, to the room or property may be charged, plus any charge for any resulting loss of income if applicable.
We are a non smoking accommodation provider. Smoking is permitted by guests in uncovered outdoor areas only. If you do smoke in our rooms a NZ$150.00 cleaning fee will be charged plus any loss of income if applicable.
All guaranteed Taupo motel accommodation is payable on departure. Cash and eftpos customers may be required to settle their account including a refundable bond upon arrival. We accept Visa / Mastercard credit cards, cash and eftpos / debit cards, Q-Card and Farmers Card. American Express and Diners are also welcome however these forms of payment incurr a 2% surcharge. Should we have to process a credit card not present at the time of payment a 1.5% surcharge applies. We are unable to accept cheques as a form of payment.
Default of any accommodation payments
Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue from the date when payment was due until the date of payment at a rate of 2.5% per calendar month. If the Buyer defaults in payment of any invoice when due, the Buyer shall indemnify Baycrest Lodge from and against all costs and disbursements incurred by pursuing the debt including legal costs and Baycrest Lodges collection agency costs.
